Track History and Fun Facts: Los Alamitos is owned and operated by Ed Allred - the man who has set the standard for Arabian, thoroughbred, paint, Appaloosa and quarterhorse races. Quarterhorse racing makes up for 60 percent of the horse-racing revenue at Los Alamitos. The track offers a premier dining experience at the Vessels Club Restaurant, an upscale facility located on the top level of the grandstand. For jockeys, Los Alamitos has constructed enough stalls to comfortably contain more than 1,400 horses.
